			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Following the appointment of McLaren Construction as the main contractor, work has now started on the redevelopment of Whiteley Village with demolition of the existing shopping centre being carried out during the first phase.</p>
<p>Whiteley will provide over 240,000 sq.ft of top quality retail and restaurant space in an open “high street” format. All units feature two-storey high structural glass facades based on a 12m structural width to minimise the number of columns in the front elevation and to give a slick contemporary feel the retail frontage. Solid sections of wall will be clad with European oak boarding in pre-fabricated engineered panels.</p>
<p>Whiteley is one of the largest new retail projects in the country. The completed development will open for trade in Easter 2013.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yodel’s new state-of-the-art parcel handling depot at Wednesbury in the West Midlands is now operational.</p>
<p>Corstorphine + Wright was responsible for the major refurbishment of the 120,000 sq.ft parcel building including a complete overclad and the installation of new specialist vehicle docking facilities, together with a new welfare suite and control offices.</p>
<p>The building serves as a regional hub for Yodel with an average of <strong>XXX</strong> vehicles delivering and collecting parcels all day, every day.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Work is well underway on the former Bird Storage site in Stratford upon Avon to construct a Premier Inn. Set on the edge of the Grand Union Canal this building will provide 130 bedrooms over 5 floors along with a canal side restaurant.</p>
<p>Constructed using a timber frame the building will be clad in Brickwork and timber to create a landmark structure in Stratford upon Avon and provide some much needed hotel accommodation within the Town Centre.</p>
<p>The development will not only provide an improvement to the town but is the first building in the Canal Quarter which is set to become a mixed use development site over the next few years.</p>
<p>Premier Inn will bring a national name to the Town and provide additional Hotel accommodation in walking distance of the Centre.</p>
