RAF Newton
The RAF Newton masterplan proposes redevelopment of the 73 hectare, former aerodrome.
The proposals will deliver a mixed use development, balancing employment generation with good quality residential accommodation. The design includes the re-use of existing hangers for economic development along with creation of 300,000sqft of new commercial floor space, approximately 500 new dwellings and 50 Live/Work units.
The site integrates itself into the surrounding open countryside and takes advantage of the surrounding landscape to deliver new public rural footways and playing fields. RAF Newton has been submitted for planning and is being considered by the Local Planning Authority.
