Cambridge Close Retail Park
Corstorphine + Wright was appointed as architects for this 181,150 sq ft retail park located adjacent to Aylesbury town centre.
Variety in the overall design has been achieved by using red brick for the new two-storey terrace that lines Cambridge Street in contrast with the white metal cladding of the more modern retail park to the rear. A distinctive feature of which is the projecting canopy made of tensile fabric covering the walkway in front of the units.
Careful co-ordination of the landscaping breaks up the main retail park and integrates it with the adjacent Cambridge Street frontage. While pedestrian routes to, from and through the site have been thoughtfully considered.
