The Harvest Partnership is a 50:50 joint venture between Land Securities and Sainsbury’s, with the two companies working together to unlock and realise the development potential of a number of sites throughout the UK.
Lincoln is the first of these to be developed, with Corstorphine + Wright being appointed by Land Securities to double the size of the existing Sainsbury’s store, making it one of the supermarket’s largest in the UK.
Designed to completely overhaul the architectural language of the existing store, the building was extended to the front and side, using modern construction techniques and materials to reflect a flagship store of this size. The store was relaunched in November 2010 and has been extremely successful.
