Whatever the immediate uncertainties post Brexit we’re happy to say we’re showing no signs of slowing down. Indeed, we’ve recently welcomed a host new appointments across our Warwick, Birmingham and London offices, representing a raft of specialisms and skills, and we’re still on the look out for more people to join our growing team.
In Warwick, Ed Simpson, Associate Director, joins us from Norr Consultants. The move marks a return for Ed, who was previously a Technologist at Corstorphine + Wright, working on projects such as a £23 million headquarters for Huntingdon District Council and a £20 million scheme for Booth’s Supermarket in the heart of Kendal. Ed is currently working on a £45 million project for NewRiver Retail at Burgess Hill, which will create new retail space, a cinema, a 63 bedroom hotel and 150 residential units, with associated parking.
In the Birmingham office, Associate Director Joanne Ellson will be working on a range of housing, supported living and urban regeneration schemes, as well as supporting our existing team in the Birmingham office. One of her first projects will be assisting with an outline application for the regeneration of the Copthorne Barracks in Shrewsbury. Her background as an Architectural Partner for calfordseaden will be invaluable to the team as the business grows.
Meanwhile, at our new Birmingham studio in the Jewellery Quarter, we welcome Jaspreet Bal, an architect who will be helping to further expand our healthcare and education expertise. Jas joins from AHR Global Architects in Birmingham, and will be supporting Modality Partnership on the expansion of a number of existing health centres in order to increase clinical capacities, as well as working on the refurbishment of Park Hill Primary School in Coventry.
As well as these strategic appointments, we have taken on a number of Senior and Junior Architects and Technicians in the Warwick, Birmingham and London offices, including: Richard Ward, Richard Bailey, Philip Daniels, Cameron Norgrove, James Lindhop, Moises Coproada, Anthony Woodsford and Daniel Kealty.
This continues to signal the strength of both the regional market and the practice.
We’re also still carrying on our hunt for the brightest talent as we continue to recruit across our offices for architect and technician roles at a variety of levels.
Michael Lampard, group design director at Corstorphine + Wright said: “The number of new appointments we have made across the company is testament to strong market conditions, the strength of the company and our approach to growing the practice.
“We’ve hired some great people and their combination of experience and diverse range of skills and specialisms means that we can continue to strengthen our presence across all of our key sectors while exploring new opportunities, offering more to our clients that ever before. This represents just one step on the journey and we are continuing to search for talented people to join our team.”
