Work has started on site on the new 72000sqft Morrisons food store at the former Sittingbourne Mill Site.

Construction work is well underway and the old Bowaters water tower was demolished on the 9th of September 2012.

The food store, when completed, will have a contemporary feel with natural timber cladding being used for the external walls, an attractive roof scape and a 484 space car park.

Not only is the store set to be modern in its design but will have several ‘green features’, including; photovoltics to generate power, rainwater harvesting features to irrigate landscaping and helix wind turbines to generate power for the store.
