Corstorphine + Wright are delighted to announce that we have secured planning for our Cowley scheme.

Oxford City Council approved plans for the £60 million development of Templars Square in Cowley, Oxford which is owned by NewRiver REIT plc (‘NewRiver’).

The scheme will deliver a major mixed-use regeneration and revitalise the heart of Cowley, improving the retail and leisure experience for shoppers and the wider local community.

The proposed plan will preserve the much-loved existing Templars Square shops, while bringing forward a range of significant improvements to the area including:

  • the addition of a hotel
  • new restaurant units for leading national operators
  • new housing
  • a dramatically improved streetscape and pedestrian routes
  • upgraded and modernised car parking
  • and new feature entrances

The investment will act as a major catalyst to growth and further investment for the whole town with around 60 new jobs created, alongside 300 construction jobs.
