Corstorphine + Wright is working for Fusion Students on the redevelopment of the landmark Comet Hotel in Hatfield to create a 99 bed hotel and adjacent 361 bed student accommodation complex, including a gym, cinema room, social, study spaces and communal courtyard.
The project will see the refurbishment of the Grade II listed1930s hotel to restore its landmark features, along with the addition of a new three storey extension block with a contemporary glazed frontage that reflects and enhances the silhouette of the heritage building.
The neighboring student accommodation will feature a bold modern design comprising 4 buildings interlinked by glazed circulation spaces.
Through carefully adjusting the heights of the buildings, landscaping the site and incorporating innovative directional windows that eliminate overlook, the privacy of neighbouring properties will be respected and safeguarded.
As with all Fusion Student developments, the latest project at Hatfield aims to reimagine the experience of student living, providing the best quality accommodation available, along with all the facilities and amenities that students need to thrive.
Hatfield is the latest in a series of high-end student residential schemes that Corstorphine + Wright is delivering for Fusion Students, which also include Froomsgate, Bristol, Plummer House, Newcastle, and Talbot House, Nottingham.
