Corstorphine + Wright is assisting the client Interserve in the development of a £14 million Secondary School Academy in West Bromwich, Birmingham. Planning consultations have highlighted that the land is currently underused and the area would benefit from a new educational facility that can offer community uses outside of school hours.
The new build project is being delivered in two phases. The first phase will allow for 2 years of 6 no. form entry classrooms, main hall, dining, library and some science accommodation. Phase two will provide specialist teaching facilities as pupil numbers rise.
The site has also been designed to accommodate two Sport England compliant football pitches as well as a MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) pitch.
