The importance of high-quality urban design is something we care passionately about. It is therefore a pleasure to announce that the practice is now a member of The Urban Design Group (UDG).
The need for high standards of urban design is now almost universally accepted. The UDG works towards improving the quality of life for people who live and work in cities, towns and villages with the belief that raising standards of urban design is central to this improvement. The group encourages positive collaboration between all professionals working to shape the built environment.
Jonathan Tarbatt, newly appointed Director of Urban Design at Corstorphine + Wright, said: ‘Joining the UDG shows our commitment to increasing understanding and raising awareness of urban design. Corstorphine + Wright’s work has always prioritised the quality of the spaces between buildings, and our membership and support for the UDG will help us to consolidate this approach, educate our clients, and attract the most talented graduates as our portfolio of urban design and masterplanning work continues to grow apace.’
We look forward to supporting The Urban Design Group this year and in the future with their work to put in place the skills, practices and frameworks on which good design depends.
