Appointed by LCR, Corstorphine & Wright are currently working on the redevelopment of the redundant Eurostar Terminal to create new retail and restaurant uses putting the Waterloo area firmly on the map as a real London destination.

The new plans provide the opportunity to reuse the award-winning building, which has been closed since Eurostar services moved to St Pancras in 2007; to deliver modern retail and station facilities that will complement the existing facilities at Waterloo International.

The site comprises the former Eurostar departures, arrivals and car parking levels underneath platforms 20 – 24. The proposals sit alongside Network Rail’s plans to bring these platforms back in to regular use to enhance capacity at Waterloo, the UK’s busiest station.

Our design strategy will deliver an exciting new destination train station, creating in excess of 125,000 sq.ft of retail and leisure space, activate redundant street frontages and improve the public realm and connectivity.

The proposed scheme will include links to the leisure development at Leake Street Arches (also by Corstorphine & Wright) via the Leake Street Tunnel, strengthening the offer of WIT by making it part of the wider regeneration of the area.
