Corstorphine & Wright has announced an exciting new merger with midlands-based West Hart Partnership (WHP), which will become its tenth studio in the UK and fourth in the region.
At the end of October 2021, WHP became a part of the Corstorphine & Wright Architects – elevating its number of employees to over 200. WHP is a RIBA chartered architectural practice with over 20 years of experience predominantly in the Health Care Sector.
Formed by Steve West and Jim Hart in 1999, WHP comprises a highly skilled team of 12, including architects, architectural technologists, interior designers and administration support. Having invested in imaginative and reliable innovators for over two decades, WHP brings a number of incredibly talented individuals to Corstorphine & Wright.
WHP’s strong background in the Health Care Sector further strengthens Corstorphine & Wright’s already diverse portfolio of projects, and widening the level of expertise available to its clients.
The move will see Corstorphine & Wright enhance its presence in the Midlands area, alongside its studios in Birmingham, Stourbridge and Warwick – making it one of the largest practices in the region.
Jim Hart commented: “West Hart Partnership has steadily grown over its 22 years. We have been blessed with incredibly loyal staff and clients alike. We are extremely excited by this announcement and the opportunities the merger will provide in terms of greater capabilities for decision making and design solutions.
“Corstorphine & Wright is an award-winning AJ top 25 architectural practice which shares the same values we do, which means combined, we can continue our tradition for excellent service, deep expertise and a top-level environment that our clients want to be a part of. By becoming part of Corstorphine & Wright, we can offer clients an even greater service, and I look forward to becoming part of the broader Corstorphine & Wright family.”
Corstorphine & Wright’s Paul Turner commented: “Corstorphine & Wright prides itself on its commitment to internal development and is excited to extend this to our 12 newest members, as our teams share their experience and knowledge, further developing the practice’s talents and growing our capabilities.
“This is a time to celebrate, the team we have welcomed from WHP is incredibly strong, and to align that talent with the team we already have is going to present some exciting opportunities, both in what we can deliver and how we can expand our client services.”
