Muneebah Shaheen Wins Rising Star Award at 2025 Yorkshire Residential Real Estate Awards

We’re proud to announce that Muneebah Shaheen, Architect at Corstorphine & Wright, has been named the Rising Star at the 2025 Yorkshire Residential Real Estate Awards — a category that celebrates the most promising new talent in the region’s residential property sector.

Although still early in her career, Muneebah’s impact has been extraordinary. At Corstorphine & Wright, she has played a pivotal role in securing planning approvals for key residential schemes in Leeds, including Sayner Lane and the Wray’s Building.

Beyond her contributions to the practice, Muneebah is the founder of Nyami Studio, a social impact architecture initiative dedicated to improving the welfare of underprivileged children and communities around the world. Her work includes:

Nyami Noohani School in Pakistan – a flood-resistant structure that has enabled more girls to access education and provided the village with its first clean water source
A community centre in Pakistan – offering a safe space for women and families
The upcoming Lolo’s Library in the Philippines – a dedicated learning space for children, set to begin construction this winter

Closer to home, Muneebah is leading the Women’s Whispers charity fit-out in Leeds, coordinating a team from across the industry to deliver a professional and welcoming space at minimal cost.
