Arden Gate is a new residential development located in central Birmingham replacing an existing data centre and comprises of 225-mixed 1 and 2 bed, and duplex apartments.
The overall design consists of a perimeter building ranging in height from 5 storeys on William Street, to 7 storeys on Communication Row and contains a split-level open sided terrace orientated to the south.
Design details include loft style living; with open plan industrial concept interiors housed within simple brick elevations that have gable frontages to the street. The irregular roof scape generates a unique roofline appearance to the scheme, which responds to the many different building scales in the immediate context and reinforces the loft living concept. Metal balconies punctuate the façade and secure car parking is located beneath a shared podium garden.
The scheme is due for completion in 2019
