Salary: £60k-£70k

About the Role:
We are looking for an Associate Director to join our talented and motivated team in the Glasgow Studio, stepping into a new leadership role within our friendly and collaborative team.
As an Associate Director, you will enjoy an interesting mix of responsibilities, including:
• Managing client and third party relationships to promote Corstorphine & Wright professionally and secure new and repeat business
• Preparing bids and contributing to business development targets within the local studio business plan
• Project managing multiple schemes for a broad range of clients, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
• Leading and managing a team, including recruitment, training, appraisals and performance management
• Coordinating project programmes and maintaining accurate project information through CMAP
• Contributing to wider practice management initiatives to support business plan objectives
• Leading project teams to deliver agreed client outcomes and ensuring compliance with building regulations and Health & Safety requirements
• Overseeing the preparation of presentation drawings and guiding teams through briefing, concept development and design stages
• Managing the production of detailed design drawings, specifications, schedules and 2D/3D outputs using CAD and BIM
• Leading design coordination, negotiating with clients, statutory bodies and multidisciplinary teams
• Preparing and delivering presentations, and confidently managing meetings
• Advising clients, responding to enquiries, resolving concerns and monitoring satisfaction levels
• Supporting the development of studio/regional business plans and objectives
About You:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following experience and skills:
• Professionally qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., RIBA, MCIAT)
• High-level knowledge and expertise across one or more sectors or specialist services
• Proven experience in networking, client relationship management and business development
• Successful track record of bidding for and securing work
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Corstorphine & Wright in a professional and credible manner
• Solid experience in production scheduling and resource planning
• Ability to plan and organise work to meet deadlines and balance competing priorities
• Strong decision making skills, particularly under pressure
• Demonstrated experience managing teams to deliver against business plan targets
• Effective communication skills across different audiences and media
• Collaborative approach, sharing information and resources across teams
