3 Things We’re Looking Forward to at UKREiiF 2022

By Paul Thrussell – 9th May 2022

The UK’s Real Estate, Investment & Infrastructure Forum inaugural event is coming to Leeds on the 17th – 19th May 2022. This major event will bring together stakeholders from across the public sector & built environment industries to showcase development progress, exhibition space, an awards ceremony and over 300 speakers across 14 stages.

Here are the top 3 things that we’re looking forward to about the event:

1.     The Location

UKREiiF is be held in Leeds at The Royal Armouries. Leeds’ economy is predicated to grow by 8.3% over the next five years which makes it one of the UK’s fastest-growing economies. Here at Corstorphine & Wright, not only do we have several schemes developing in the region, but it is also where one of our largest studios is located.

In fact, our Leeds Studio is only a 10-minute walk (or water taxi!) down the canal and two minutes from the train station. We’re opening it up to all UKREiiF attendees who need a quiet place to do a Teams call, a hot desk, cup of Yorkshire Tea or want to connect with any of our Corstorphine & Wright colleagues.

Get in touch in touch with [email protected] if you’d like to come over, or just drop by.

2.     The Opportunities

The event will be a fantastic chance to understand future trends, local authority plans and Levelling Up opportunities.

The 14 stages at UKREiiF will offer something for everyone, no matter the speciality or interest. We are eagerly anticipating attending presentations on UK high streets, innovative approaches to housing and the future of Retail and Hospitality. These talks will not only reinforce how we design buildings and communities but also allow us to communicate these important ideas to clients and stakeholders, ensuring we can continue to be a practice that can deliver intelligently designed and future proofed schemes.

According to the UKREiiF website over 4000 people have registered to attend. We are looking forward to reconnecting with those who we haven’t seen since before the pandemic began and making new connections with industry leaders.

Corstorphine & Wright colleagues will also be attending a selection of fringe events such as the Women in Property breakfast with CITU and the Faithful+Gould Drinks Reception. Let us know if you’ll be there too or what other events we shouldn’t miss.

3.     The Social Value & Sustainability Agenda

Keeping Environmental and Social Governance at the centre of many of the conversations at UKREiiF highlights just how critical these topics are right now in the UK.

Our clients and end-users are increasingly insisting that schemes, from design to delivery to completion, have sustainable initiatives in place. And when they aren’t, we push it from a advisory perspective.

With a high-profile event like UKREiiF focussing on these agendas, it allows for more conversation, more perspective, and more weight to this important conversation.

We would love to connect with you in Leeds during the event. Please get in contact if you’d like to arrange an appointment at our central Leeds studio or in & around The Royal Armouries. Keep an eye on our social media for more information on where we’ll be and when.
