Corstorphine & Wright is pleased to announce the move of its Manchester studio to a new, central location on Dale Street. This strategic move underscores the practice’s commitment to expanding its presence in Manchester and the wider Northwest region.

The decision to invest in Manchester stems from a multitude of factors. Corstorphine & Wright aims to bolster its footprint in Manchester, leveraging its expertise across diverse sectors to cultivate a varied portfolio of projects. Despite being well-connected, the practice recognises the opportunity to enhance its visibility in the local market, drawing upon its established reputation across the UK.

The move also coincides with a number of important business and project milestones. Two recent hires – of design director, Yianni Kattirtzis, in February, and director, Ian Chapman, at the end of 2023 – have helped to support Corstorphine & Wright’s growth in the region, strengthening their portfolio in key sectors.

“We are excited to deepen our roots in Manchester and contribute to its vibrant architectural landscape. Our relocation presents an opportunity to not only broaden our portfolio but also to attract top talent to our team.”

Lee Mansfield

Director

The move to a modern, centrally located office will facilitate team expansion and enhance accessibility for both clients and collaborators. The new space will also serve as a hub for hosting clients and fostering meaningful connections within the community.

Thank you to all those who visited our new studio last night to help celebrate our move.

Among the firm’s notable projects in the Northwest are the refurbishment works to the iconic Royal Exchange Manchester and the Royal Liver Building, Liverpool and Fusion Deansgate, a new 28 storey, purpose built student accommodation scheme which started on site at the end of last year.

The practice’s refurbishment of Hexagon Tower in North Manchester into 15000 sq ft of brand-new lab space will also be completed in the coming months, providing premier accommodation in the region for businesses working within the Life Sciences sector, alongside the replacement of Wilmslow Police Station – the first Passivhaus police station in the UK – which is due to start on site imminently.
