Corstorphine & Wright Wins AJ100 Community Impact of the Year Award

We are incredibly proud to announce that Corstorphine & Wright has won the Architects’ Journal AJ100 Community Impact of the Year Award for our work on The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease.

This award recognises architectural projects that deliver meaningful, lasting benefit to communities — and this year’s judges praised the project for its deeply human approach. In their words, the scheme:

“Stood out for the exemplary quality of its co-design process, which elevated the outcome to create a genuinely human and uplifting place.”

The Rob Burrow Centre for MND represents a landmark moment in the provision of care for people living with motor neurone disease. Developed through extensive engagement with patients, families, clinicians and the MND community, the design places dignity, comfort and emotional wellbeing at its heart. Every element — from spatial layout to materiality and atmosphere — has been shaped to create a supportive, uplifting environment that responds to real lived experience.

Winning the AJ100 Community Impact of the Year Award is a powerful recognition of the collaborative effort behind this project. It reflects the dedication of our team, the commitment of our design team partners, and the MND community who helped shape the vision.
