The Scoop Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2026

We are delighted to share that The Scoop has been shortlisted in the Workplace Project (Small) category at the Dezeen Awards 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious architecture and design awards.

Designed by Corstorphine & Wright, The Scoop transforms and extends an existing office building in London’s Union Street Conservation Area through an innovative approach that balances heritage, sustainability and contemporary design.

Reusing much of the original structure, the project introduces a distinctive concave façade in white glazed brick that frames views of the neighbouring Grade II-listed Church of Most Precious Blood, creating a unique identity while celebrating its historic context.

Located in Southwark, the development was conceived to strengthen the relationship between the public realm and the adjacent church, ensuring the heritage asset remains prominent while maximising the building’s potential as a modern workplace. The result is a highly sustainable, BREEAM Excellent office building with a rooftop garden overlooking the London skyline.

The shortlist recognition is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in the project and highlights the power of adaptive reuse to create inspiring workplaces that enrich the urban environment while respecting their surroundings.
