Corstorphine & Wright is proud to announce its appointment as delivery architect for the transformative redevelopment of 5 Chancery Lane: a significant Grade A office scheme in the heart of Central London.
The practice has been brought on board by the main contractor to take the scheme through to completion, building on the original concept by Foggo Associates. Working with London based developer LS Estates, Corstorphine & Wright will ensure the successful delivery of the project from a design, technical, and commercial perspective, helping realise the full potential of this ambitious development.
The redevelopment represents a highly sustainable back-to-frame transformation of the existing office building. It includes significant demolition and reconstruction of the upper floors, a complete reconfiguration of internal layouts, and sensitive alterations to the original façades. A striking three-storey rooftop extension, spanning the fifth to seventh floors, will create a bold architectural statement, while a new landscaped roof terrace will provide high-quality outdoor amenity space for future occupiers.
The building is being built to a high-performance CAT A shell and core specification, targeting a BREEAM rating of Excellent. A newly inserted central core, replacing the building’s former atrium, unlocks around 100,000sqft of highly flexible, contemporary workspace.
Corstorphine & Wright’s appointment underlines the practice’s growing reputation for delivering complex commercial refurbishments and adaptive reuse projects.
