As part of the regeneration of Mell Square shopping centre in Solihull by IM Properties, work has completed on a tired 1960s building which has been demolished and replaced with a new 4 storey development. The building features a ground floor Carluccio’s restaurant and three levels of upper floor offices.
Set within in Solihull Conservation Area, the corner site acts as a gateway to Mell Square Shopping Centre. The new four storey building creates a striking, contemporary presence at this key town centre location, acting as a modern juxtaposition to the adjacent Georgian RBS building, yet respecting the historical building through the choice of scale materials.
The forward looking design echoes the future ambitions of Mell Square Shopping centre and is intended to act as a catalyst for future establishments to to open and enliven the South East portion of Solihull Town Centre.
