On behalf of McLaren Property, Corstorphine + Wright has submitted an application for a new 380 bed student accommodation building.
Demand for student accommodation in the region has increased with the recent growth of both Coventry and Warwick University.
With more than 12,000 students enrolled in Sept 2017, The Oaks will offer high quality housing to 380 of these students, whilst boosting the retail and leisure economy within the immediate locality.
The development will offer something different to students by providing a number of social learning spaces and fitness facilities both indoor and outdoor focussed on student wellbeing. The latest technology within a contemporary setting will provide the perfect backdrop for student life in Warwickshire.
The proposed site is located along Westwood Way to the edge of Westwood Business Park approximately 5 miles from Coventry City Centre and a 20 minute walk from Warwick University Campus. Currently the site is occupied by a vacant office building, with redevelopment proposals received positively by the Universities and Coventry City Council.
